gwakeonlan software package provides wakes up your machines using Wake on LAN, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gwakeonlan
gwakeonlan is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gwakeonlan package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gwakeonlan *
You will get with gwakeonlan package name, version, architecture and description in a table
